Los Angeles Lakers had tried to recruit Darren Collison in 2020 as well but could not work out the finer details, but earlier this month the retired Point Guard was seen working out with Lakers as he eyes a comeback to NBA this season. The Former Indiana Pacers point guard had played a key role in taking the team to the playoffs in 2019 with an average of 11.2 points and 6.0 assists as a starting PG.
Back in February 2020, All-Star Anthony Davis was pushing to bring over Collison to the squad but could not make the deal work out, however, this year again we see Collison practicing with Talen Horton-Tucker, Malik Monk and Kendrick Nunn. With him on the roster Laker would not run out of playmakers this season with Nunn, Rajon Rondo, and Russell Westbrook already on the roster.
