Dallas Mavericks have signed 7’5” center Jamarion Sharp

The Dallas Mavericks have signed 7’5” center Jamarion Sharp, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. Sharp spent last season with the Texas Legends, the Mavericks’ G League affiliate, and will remain in the organization as he continues his development.

Dallas already has strong depth at center, with Dereck Lively II and Daniel Gafford competing for the starting role, while Anthony Davis can also play the five and veteran Dwight Powell remains on the roster. Even so, the Mavericks see value in keeping Sharp, whose size and potential make him an intriguing long-term project. At just 24, Sharp will likely continue to hone his skills in the G League while staying ready for an NBA opportunity. With training camp beginning in October, Dallas is gearing up for a playoff push, and Sharp’s growth could factor into their future plans.
