The most valuable sharpshooter on the NBA free agency market, Davis Bertans ended up back at the team as Washington Wizards are ready to pay the price and hold onto him for longer term. Wizards and Bertans have made the deal for $80 million over five year period to the player. A very hefty amount is being paid to retain the 28-year-old marksman.
Wizards did not make it as far as the playoffs but Bertan reported his career-best scores with 15.4 points and 4.5 rebounds in 29.3 minutes per game 42.4 percent from downtown shooting with 8.7 attempts per game. His 3-point range shooting makes his lethal for opponents 11.1 points of his 15.4 points were from beyond the arc which is very impressive and the Wizards pay the price by keeping him in the team for a longer-term at $80 million.
