Denver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray is under evaluation

Murray was injured early in the third quarter, limping to the locker room before returning to finish the period. However, he missed the fourth quarter as Denver suffered their fourth consecutive home loss.

Coach David Adelman confirmed Murray will undergo medical evaluation. "It’s a huge offensive loss," Adelman said, noting Murray's toughness implies significant pain. Before exiting, Murray posted 10 points and 9 assists, below his 24-point average. Spencer Jones, who scored a career-high 28 points, admitted Murray’s absence hurt late-game execution, citing the missing Murray-Jokic pick-and-roll chemistry.

Murray, who tore his ACL in 2021 but led Denver to the 2023 title, joins an extensive injury list. Aaron Gordon (hamstring) and Christian Braun (ankle) are already sidelined for weeks, weakening the defense. Despite losing three starters, Adelman refused to make excuses: "I’m not going to sit here talking about guys who are out. We have enough to be consistent defensively."
