Golden State will hold free-agent workouts

According to Shams Charania and Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Golden State will undertake free-agent workouts with a number of senior players over the next two weeks.

Among the players set for workouts are Dion Waiters, Tony Snell, Kent Bazemore, Juan Toscano-Anderson, Harry Giles, and Trey Burke. According to Charania, the organisation would have "multiple rounds of workouts to identify signings." Waiters, 31, has one of the most memorable names in the group. The former No. 4 overall selection is back in the NBA after three years away, as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers championship team in 2019-20. Waiters has a lifetime scoring average of 13.1 points per game on 41.2% shooting in eight seasons in the league. His best season came as a sophomore with the Cleveland Cavaliers, when he set career highs in points (15.9) and field-goal percentage (43.3%).
