Frank Vogel, the coach of the Phoenix Suns, showed up his admiration for Eric Gordon to the media before to the game. Gordon was referred to as his team's "senior adviser" by him. However, Vogel's affection for Gordon increased on Wednesday night when the Houston Rockets fell to the Suns 129-113. Gordon put on a display against his former team in his first game back inside the Toyota Centre, scoring 27 points on 10 of 15 field goals and 7 of 11 three-pointers. Gordon spent six and a half seasons with the Rockets before being dealt to the Los Angeles Clippers in February.
Alperen Şengün scored a team-high 24 points, pulled down five rebounds, and stole two steals to lead Houston. Jalen Green added 23 points, five boards, three steals, and shot 6 of 12 from outside the arc in what was maybe his greatest performance in the previous two games.
