Last month, Keyontae Johnson's agent made the announcement that he had signed with Charlotte. It was not obvious at the moment what kind of agreement he would be signing. The 24-year-old seems to have signed a contract using Exhibit 9, most likely with text from Exhibit 10.
Johnson, who was selected with the 50th overall choice in the 2023 draft, played his whole rookie season on a two-way deal with Oklahoma City. Although he played 66 minutes in just nine games with the Thunder last season, he was a key member of their NBA G League club, the Oklahoma City Blue. Following the 2023–2024 season, Johnson became an unrestricted free agent when the Thunder failed to extend a two-way qualifying offer to him. There are currently 14 players on regular agreements with the Hornets.
