Los Angeles Lakers 133-112 win over the visiting Charlotte Hornets

The Los Angeles Lakers pair, led by James (17 points and 11 assists) and Davis (26 points and 8 rebounds), were the highlight of the game as they defeated the visiting Charlotte Hornets 133–112. The Lakers won for just the third time in nine games after defeating the Indiana Pacers on December 9 to win the NBA in-season tournament, led by 17 points by Rui Hachimura in just his fourth start of the year.

D'Angelo Russell led Los Angeles with 16 points and nine assists off the bench, while Austin Reaves added 16 points as well. Jaxson Hayes and Max Christie, the reserves, each added ten. The Hornets dropped their tenth straight game despite 20 points from Miles Bridges and 18 points and eight assists from Terry Rozier. Additionally, Charlotte dropped their sixth straight away game.
