Marcus Morris Sr. is eyeing a return to the Knicks

Marcus Morris Sr. and the New York Knicks are about to sign an Exhibit 9 deal. Through a press statement posted on social media, the Knicks made this announcement. In the process of evaluating Morris Sr. as a potential low-cost veteran option for the Knicks going into the 2024–25 NBA season, an Exhibit 9 contract essentially functions as an invitation to training camp.

The 35-year-old Morris Sr. recently finished a season with the Philadelphia 76ers. The tenure wasn't really notable because Morris is an older player now and isn't counted on to play as many minutes as he did in his NBA rookie season. However, the Knicks might benefit greatly from his seasoned experience. Despite playing only 16 minutes a night the previous season, Morris Sr. averaged 6.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 0.7 assists. As part of the transaction that sent James Harden to the Clippers last season, he signed with the 76ers.
