Despite his significant impact, his future with the Heat is uncertain, as he could become a free agent next summer if he opts out of his player option. Recently, the Golden State Warriors have been linked to Butler, eyeing him as a potential addition to their roster. 

The Warriors' interest makes sense, especially following the departure of Klay Thompson. With Steph Curry nearing the end of his prime, acquiring Butler could help the Warriors stay competitive. This speculation arises amid reports that Butler sought a max extension this summer, which the Heat were hesitant to offer due to his injury history. One trade proposal suggests the Warriors could land Butler in exchange for Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, Kevon Looney, a 2025 first-round pick, and a 2027 first-round pick.
