The Sacramento Kings have yet to make a move this 2025 offseason, but major changes could be coming. With the NBA Draft starting Wednesday, the Kings are eyeing a trade to move into the first round. More notably, DeMar DeRozan’s time in Sacramento appears to be ending after just one season, as the team is expected to find him a new destination.
Even more surprising is the growing possibility of trading All-NBA center Domantas Sabonis. Despite averaging 19.1 points, 13.9 rebounds, and 6.0 assists last season, new GM Scott Perry may be hesitant to build around the 29-year-old. According to Sacramento Bee’s Jason Anderson, the Kings are exploring DeRozan trades and could soon test Sabonis’ market value. As Sacramento seeks a new direction, big moves may be just around the corner.
