Memphis Grizzlies beat the Mavericks

Last month, the Mavericks defeated the Utah Jazz without their two All-Stars, but they could not duplicate that success at FedEx Forum, where the Memphis Grizzlies overcame an 11-point deficit late to win 112-108. The Mavericks dropped both ends of their shattered road trip, which started on Wednesday in New Orleans and enabled them to spend the day in Dallas in between games, dropping their record to 34-34.

The Mavericks utilized a powerful run late in the third quarter and early in the fourth to gain an advantage of 88-77 despite the Grizzlies (40-26) having the second-best home record in the NBA. Nonetheless, Memphis made good use of rookie David Roddy, who was selected with the 23rd overall choice. With two minutes remaining, Hardy nailed a cold-blooded three-pointer to equalize the score after his putback gave the Grizzlies a 104-101 lead.
