Miami Heat explore trade options for Terry Rozier’s $26.6M expiring contract

Rozier’s scoring punch and playmaking make him appealing for teams seeking backcourt help without long-term commitments. The Los Angeles Lakers loom as a logical fit if they’re willing to part with draft capital, potentially sending expiring salaries like Gabe Vincent and Maxi Kleber back to Miami. The Heat could welcome a Vincent reunion while breaking Rozier’s contract into smaller pieces. 

The Utah Jazz also make sense, with Rozier providing stability alongside young guards Keyonte George and Isaiah Collier. Chicago is another possible destination, as his expiring deal fits their short-term approach. A potential swap for Nikola Vucevic would give Miami valuable frontcourt depth to support Bam Adebayo while the Bulls test Rozier’s fit behind Ayo Dosunmu.
