Nuggets beat the Suns 115-107

Josh Okogie, Chimezie Mutu, Saban Lee, Grayson Allen, and Jusuf Nurkic made comprised Phoenix's starting lineup. Jamal Murray, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Aaron Gordon, and Nikola Jokic all began with Justin Holiday for the Nuggets. Both teams made sloppy plays during the first quarter, which was back and forth. The Nuggets had five turnovers in the quarter compared to seven for the Suns. With six points each, Okogie and Caldwell-Pope were the top scorers. Aaron Gordon did not score but did grab 5 rebounds. Denver led 25–23 at the end of the first period.

At the start of the second quarter, the Nuggets began to distance themselves from the Suns. In the opening four minutes of the third quarter, they outscored Phoenix 11-6. With the help of Eric Gordon and Grayson Allen, the Suns were able to maintain a competitive game. In the middle of the second quarter, Allen went on a 7-0 run.
