Toronto Raptors have officially announced that Kyle Lowry’s iconic No. 7 jersey will be retired on January 10, 2027, following the home game against the Philadelphia 76ers. Lowry becomes the second player in franchise history to receive the honor, joining Vince Carter, whose No. 15 was raised in 2024. A Philadelphia native, Lowry spent nine seasons in Toronto, guiding the team to seven playoff appearances, two Eastern Conference Finals and the unforgettable 2019 championship run.
He remains the franchise’s all‑time leader in assists, steals and three‑pointers, earning the title of “GROAT.” Lowry said the ceremony will be deeply meaningful, calling Toronto his home and praising the bond built with teammates, fans and the entire country. The celebration will span three “GROAT Nights,” featuring a commemorative T‑shirt on January 7 and a limited‑edition bobblehead on January 8. The final tribute will see his number raised beside the 2019 championship banner.
