Rockets face draft dilemma with 10th pick

The Houston Rockets have another lottery pick even though they qualified for the playoffs. Reed Sheppard was the subject of last year's pick. As a rookie, Sheppard only averaged 12.6 minutes per game, even though he was selected third overall. However, Houston has the tenth overall choice in the 2025 NBA Draft, therefore this year's lottery selection is a little later. What may be in store for the tenth selection this year if the No. 3 overall pick was unable to play much last season?

The Rockets have a strong roster that includes both young, promising players and seasoned veterans. Is it really necessary for them to take a chance on a different talent who might not play much as a rookie? Perhaps the Rockets would be better suited making a deal this time around with all the assets they have accumulated.
