The Houston Rockets signed Gerald Green, a free-agent guard today. Green (6-6, 205) endured a left foot injury in a preseason game for the Rockets on 10th October 2019. He did not appear in a game last season. Especially, before being obtained via trade by Denver on 5th February 2020.
Green had the most 3-pointers made (255) of any reserve in the NBA. And that too from the time Green previously signed with Houston through the end of the 2018-19 season i.e. on 28th December 2017. He appeared in 114 games for the Rockets over that span. And, that too while averaging 2.3 3-pointers and 10.3 points made in 21.1 minutes per game.
Anachronizing to 2011-12, Green is one of six players with at rock-bottom 450 games played. He managed to have averaged no less than 10.0 points in less than 22.0 minutes per game.
