Sixers pull off an upset against top ranked Heat

Philadelphia 76ers might have been without Joel Embiid and James Harden while they faced the top-ranked Miami Heat on Monday but Tyrese Maxey played his part well to guide the team to a 113-106 triumph. Maxey fired 13 of his 28 points in the last quarter and the game-winning nine in a row stretch helped an undermanned Sixers overpower the Eastern Conference-leading team.

With the win, 76ers are now within 2½ games of Heat in the conference as Embiid and Harden nursed their injuries from the sidelines. Maxey got some support from Shake Milton, who scored 20 points and Furkan Korkmaz chipped in with 18 points as well to overthrow Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo’s side in a convincing win. It would be a hard loss for Miami to swallow who recorded their fifth loss in the last 20 games.
