The Phoenix Suns have inked a contract with forward Ishmail Wainright for a two-way contract. The 27-year-old was part of the Toronto Raptors’ training camp roster and was playing for the last spots but was unfortunately waived on Sunday. The player was undrafted in 2017 and has played three seasons in Germany and France. Wainright would take up the Suns’ second two-way spot and the other spot was already filled by Chandler Hutchison.
With the newest addition, Phoenix’s roster is now at 16 players, Suns have one more spot left on their main roster. Suns’s summer roster had most of the players with more international experience rather than NBA experience.
