Usman Garuba and TyTy Washington get another blow as Oklahoma City Thunder decides to release the two players. During the offseason Houston Rockets faced a lot of heat over their decision to trade both the former first-round picks to the Atlanta Hawks, later Hawks handed over the two to Oklahoma City Thunder.
While the Rockets deal was then unsuccessful as Brook Lopez could not be adjusted within the cap space, trading way the two potential players opened them up to a lot of criticism from fans. But Thunders's decision to release the two players again has vindicated Stone. For OKC having the two players on the team with no future was a waste of resources. Now the pair have been traded by three teams already this summer. Garuba might explore his options in Europe where he has had some success in the past while TyTy might head towards G-League.
