Ty Jerome has emerged as one of the NBA’s biggest early-season surprises, leading Memphis to a perfect 3-0 start while producing at an elite offensive level. In Monday’s 123-112 victory over Sacramento, Jerome scored 31 points, adding four rebounds and six assists while going 14-for-14 from the free-throw line.
The performance took his season total to 104 points through three games, making him only the second player in Grizzlies history to surpass 100 points across the opening three contests. Ja Morant previously achieved the feat twice.
Jerome began the campaign with a franchise-record 45 points against Utah, followed by 28 against Golden State. He is averaging 34.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 5.7 assists, shooting 56.3% overall and 42.9% from three-point range.
After appearing in just 15 games last season because of injuries, Jerome’s explosive comeback has transformed Memphis’ offense. The guard is now central to Memphis’ impressive start this season.
