Hassan Khan has received his maiden USA call‑up for the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 tri‑series against UAE and Namibia, stepping in for injured fast bowler Ali Khan. The 27‑year‑old allrounder, once a rising star in Pakistan’s youth system, has rebuilt his career in the United States after opportunities back home faded. Khan captained Pakistan at the 2018 U19 World Cup alongside future internationals Shaheen Afridi and Musa Khan, but his senior breakthrough never arrived as PSL chances dried up.
His transformation began in Major League Cricket, where he delivered standout seasons for the San Francisco Unicorns, earning Domestic Player of the Year in 2024 and producing explosive batting and reliable left‑arm spin across two campaigns. Those performances opened doors in the BBL, ILT20, CPL and eventually a return to the PSL in 2026.
USA now hopes Khan’s power‑hitting and versatility can provide an immediate boost ahead of February’s crucial World Cup Qualifiers.
