India Gave Maiden Call-Ups for Suryakumar, Ishan, and Rahul in the T20I Squad

With India announcing the squad for the coming T20I series vs. England, Rishabh Pant made a return to the limited-overs format. Post an amazing performance in IPL 2020 and domestic circuit, maiden calls have been given to Mumbai Indians stars Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav by the BCCI.

After showing consistent performances in the Test format, both in India and In Australia, Pant who was dropped for the limited-overs leg of the Australian tour could make it back to the team. Kishan who smashed 173 runs in 94 balls for Jharkhand in a match against Madhya Pradhesh made its way into the T20I squad the same day.

While Kishan got a call-up, wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson was dropped from the squad. Rahul Tewatia, who got recognized, post spectacular match-winning innings for Rajasthan Royals last year in the IPL also got his maiden call in the team.
