Kieron Pollard retired from playing IPL

During his 13-season tenure with Mumbai Indians, Kieron Pollard played an integral role in helping the MI family win Champions League trophies and five IPL wins. However, he will continue to work with the MI family in his new coaching role at the Mumbai Indians. A one-club man, Pollard has been a pillar of Mumbai Indians since 2010, securing five IPL and two Champions League trophies with the team.

He will continue excelling as a player and batting coach, and will offer his decades of experience and expertise to help deliver better results for Mumbai Indians as a batter coach and a player. Mrs Nita. M. Ambani, the chairman of MI believes that Kieron Pollard epitomises what MI stands for. From Season 3, they've shared joy, sweat, and tears together: those powerful emotions that forge lifelong connections on and off the field. He participated in both Champions League wins and all five of IPL wins.
