SKY creates historic T20 record

In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Suryakumar Yadav is unstoppable and has improved his game with every game. He is the most consistent player in the league. When SKY surpassed the 25-run threshold against Punjab Kings, he set a new global record. He now holds the record for the most straight 25-plus runs in T20 cricket, surpassing South African skipper Temba Bavuma. Both SKY and Bavuma had 13 straight 25-plus runs before the Punjab match, but now that SKY has reached 14 consecutive innings, speak about consistency.

With ten T20 cricket scores of 25 or more, former KKR and CSK batsman Robin Uthappa held this record before Suryakumar. It's interesting to note that Bavuma accomplished this feat in the 2019–20 campaign, and some surprising names are on the list.
