Apex fails to leave a mark and called it quits

The European mix was battling their way into the top bracket of the playoffs in ESEA Advanced Season 42 when Apeks announced that they have pulled their primary CS:GO lineup from all of their forthcoming tournament performances. The announcement comes only six weeks after the team's off-season makeover, during which Martin "STYKO" Styk was promoted to the position of in-game commander, and Justinas "jL" Lekavicius and Major champion Richard "shox" Papillon were both hired by the organization.

After losing to GamerLegion in overtime in the fourth and final open qualifier, Apeks was unable to convert their recent, high-profile recruits into noticeable success on the server, most notably missing out on a berth at the IEM Road to Rio Europe RMR. The team's unexpected participation in the recently finished Fragadelphia 17 competition in the United States similarly fell short of expectations, with the roster placing 3–4th after suffering a heartbreaking 1-2 loss to BIG Academy in the semifinals.
