Metizport Benches Hampus, Explores New Team Direction

Hampus "⁠hampus⁠" Poser has been benched by Metizport as the organization looks to “rethink our strategy and explore new directions,” according to a statement on X. The Swedish player joined in January and helped guide the team to its first-ever Major appearance through the Europe MRQ.

Metizport’s all-Swedish lineup generated buzz as the first of its kind to reach a Major since 2019. However, their campaign in Austin ended in disappointment, finishing last with just 20 rounds won after losses to Wildcard, TYLOO, and Imperial. “Since the beginning of the year, Hampus has made a solid contribution to our journey,” the team stated, expressing gratitude for his role in reaching the Major. Metizport is currently open to offers for Hampus and has invited interested teams to reach out regarding potential opportunities.
