Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek announces his retirement from CSGO

The 23-year-old Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek has decided to retire from CSGO. The player ends his eight-year-long professional career which involved some play time with Bravado, Cloud9, and Extra Salt. Sonic later became famous with his performance in South Africa in 2014 and 2015.

The 16-year-old AWPing talent as part of the Energy roster made a name for himself in the professional world. This got Bravado’s interest and he was picked by the team as South Africa's most promising talent he rose through the ranks eventually becoming a standout player and helping the side’s performance at international events including the DreamHack Open Winter 2018 grand finale appearance. Sonic had already been out of the lineup when floppy returned from VALORANT to join the lineup.
