AWPer Rafael "⁠saffee⁠" Costa and André "⁠drop⁠" Abreu part ways from FURIA

Amid ongoing negotiations to recruit Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo, FURIA has confirmed the departure of AWPer Rafael "saffee" Costa and youngster André "drop" Abreu. The departing pair will transfer to MIBR to cover the positions left vacant by Matheus "⁠Tuurtle⁠" Anhaia and Henrique "HEN1." Teles in the starting five for the Brazilian team.

While FURIA searches the market for a rifler to replace Drop's shoes ahead of the autumn season, which starts for the Brazilians on 25 July at the IEM Cologne Play-In, they also continue to strive to complete the FalleN discussions. During their tenure in Brazil's elite side, drop and saffee, who had been in FURIA since mid-2021 and early-2022, respectively, reached in fifth position in the global rankings. The pair never won any awards, but they had a variety of remarkable experiences, including making it to the semi-finals of their home Major, IEM Rio, in 2022.
