BetBoom have knocked SAW out of contention for the Perfect World Shanghai Major following a two-map victory in the 2-2 pool of Europe RMR A (13-9 on Vertigo, 13-9 on Ancient). Despite the win, BetBoom must still compete in the seventh-place decider later in the day to secure the final Major spot due to their Bucholz score.
SAW’s campaign ends after an inconsistent RMR run. They opened with a loss to SINNERS, rebounded with wins over UNiTY and Falcons, but suffered 0-2 defeats to Natus Vincere and BetBoom in the deciding rounds. The team struggled defensively, failing to secure a single CT round on Vertigo and falling 1-8 on Ancient before a late but insufficient recovery. Despite their recent ESL Challenger Katowice win, SAW couldn’t replicate their cohesion with newcomer André "Ag1l" Gil, falling short of their earlier form.
