Cloud9 chose their replacement for Timofey "interz" Yakushin

Cloud9 are slated to enter the 2023 season with a new lineup, as they are set to sign Timur "buster" Tulepov. After their 2022 campaign at the IEM Rio Major ended, the team spent at least a month seeking for interz's replacement. Buster was one of the front-runners right away, but other players were also taken into consideration. The IEM Katowice tournament should be buster's first matchback on the server. Eight slots in the group stage are up for grabs in the event's Play-in stage, which begins on January 31 and will feature Cloud9.

Buster will complete a six-month hiatus from competitive play with the transfer to Cloud9 after being benched in Outsiders after the PGL Major Antwerp concluded in late May. He and Mareks "YEKINDAR" Galinskis were replaced in the team by David "n0rb3r7" Danielyan and Petr "fame" Bolyshev, but the Kazakhstani rifler's quest for a new location to call home was far longer than that of the Latvian.
