SAW played well and won both of the maps in the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown, Overpass 13–8, Nuke 16–13, against Cloud9. After eliminating Liquid in the first round of the event, the Portuguese team has now won seven straight games, going all the way back to their 0–2 pool match at the RMR. This is their second upset of the competition. Now, SAW advances to the qualifying round, where they will compete for a spot in London's BLAST Spring Final against the victor of OG vs. HEROIC.
While it was another mediocre effort from Cloud9's AWPer-less squad. With nine days left, the Russian team can now get ready for the Major, where they will begin in the Opening Stage. The team performed much better in the RMR round but they do have a long way to go.
