EG advances to the next round after beating Party Astronauts

Evil Geniuses toppled North American squad Party Astronauts in a three map series in the final Swiss match at the Americas RMR tournament. EG would now move to the next round sixth-place tiebreaker bracket, against paiN and 9z. paiN has a better score than both sides thus they would wait for the winner of EG and 9z match in the final decider that would reveal the name of the team that grabs the Contenders' spot at PGL Major Antwerp.

EG saw a great performance from Brehze who enjoyed a 1.26 rating throughout the series. Timothy "autimatic" Ta and William "RUSH" Wierzba helped EG on Overpass as they shut down Party Astronauts' efforts of making a comeback to sweep the map with16-12. On Mirage things turned out of control for EG as Party Astronauts took lead and forced a decider, Inferno. In the last Map of the series, EG pushed with 13 round wins in a row and rally back in the game to tip the scoreline in their favor and end with 16-9.
