The Evil Geniuses have declared that Daniel "⁠Vorborg⁠" Vorborg has been benched as a result of the change in the organization's strategy. The Dane emphasised his ambition and determination to keep teaching, saying he loves his job and wants to show himself once more.

The 31-year-old replaced Damien "maLeK" Marcel as head coach in August and spent 10 months with Evil Geniuses, contributing significantly to the group's unconventional Blueprint project. The Dane supervised a number of roster changes while he was on the squad, none of which eventually contributed to an improvement in play. He joined the club during the summer break while it underwent a rebuild with Sanzhar "neaLaN" Iskhakov and Jadan "HexT" Postma. The main accomplishment of the lineup, which didn't do much better than the previous edition, was their debut at the IEM Rio Major 2022 Challengers Stage, where they only managed one victory over IHC.
