Extra Salt and O PLANO advance ahead after winning openers in CS_Summit 8

The closed qualifiers kicked off for CS_Summit 8 and Extra Salt and O PLANO have secured a win in their opening matches to set up a clash with each other on Sunday. The winner of the match would then book a place in the main tournament. The direct invitee, Extra Salt faced GODSENT, who also received a direct invite to the closed qualifiers on the basis of ranking. On the other side Triumph and O PLANO had advanced to the closed qualifiers through the open qualifiers. 

Aran "⁠Sonic⁠" Groesbeek led Extra Salt to a 16-8 win on Nuke, after a lot of to and fro on Inferno Extra Salt found a win in triple overtime. O PLANO played all three maps to win the series with a trio of Henrique "⁠HEN1⁠" Teles, Leonardo "⁠leo_drk⁠" Oliveira, and Vinicius "⁠vsm⁠" Moreira working hard in the decider map, Train for a win.
