Faze thrashes Fnatic while NIP, DBL PONEY cruise to a win

The first round of Group D kicked off with the favorites running the show. NIP, DBL PONEY, and FaZe all cruised to a win and claimed the three points in the round-robin standings. Faze took down fnatic, and has ensured a top 7 finish in the tournament would be enough to secure a place at the Major leaving Alex "ALEX" McMeekin’s side struggling. Håvard "rain" Nygaard and Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken sealed the win for FaZe on the opening day. As both the player sealed a number of multi-kill rounds throughout the match to secure a win.

NIP crushed Fiend on the other end, with Nicolai "device" Reedtz posting a rating of 2.57. And the SKADE and DBL PONEY match were a bit more eventful as SKADE put up a fight before DBL PONEY stole a win.
