Fnatic benches Owen "smooya" Butterfield

Fnatic puts Owen "smooya" Butterfield on the sidelines to make way for Iulian "regali" Harjău in the main lineup. Fnatic just finished in the 9-12th place finish at IEM Katowice 2022, with smooya struggling to post numbers and make an impact. The 22-year-old joined the squad in October 2021 and helped the team in online qualifiers with his impressive performance but this year his form has significantly dropped forcing the team to take a call before the qualifications for the PGL Atnwerp Major.

The Brit’s removal is a good sign for the 19-year-old sniper regali, who has been spectacular for fnatic Rising since July of 2021 and enjoys a respectable 1.15 rating, and has even been part of the senior squad for a brief period before.
