FunPlus Phoenix close down their CSGO division

Citing reasons as limitations and difficulties during remote management the Chinese organization has decided to discontinue their CSGO division and pull their investment after a year.

FunPlus Phoenix had a Counter-Strike roster since January 2021 after they took over the former GODSENT lineup which had Jesse "zehN" Linjala, Martin "STYKO" Styk, Pavle "Maden" Bošković, Asger "Farlig" Jensen.  In the last eleven months, the team had little success this year. They won the Snow Sweet Snow event and later qualified for IEM Summer. The team failed to qualify for PGL Major Stockholm with the 14th place finish on the Europe Regional Major Ranking leaderboard. The team was also eliminated from the IEM Fall early in the group stage and placed ninth in Flashpoint 3.
