FunPlus Phoenix signs a new in-game leader, Luka "⁠emi⁠" Vuković

Former Valiance and c0ntact member Luka "⁠emi⁠" Vuković signs a deal with FunPlus Phoenix on a free transfer and would now take on the role of in-game leader for the Chinese organization. Ever since Kevin "⁠kRYSTAL⁠" Amend’s benching in November the role has remained vacant at FPX until now. Chris "⁠chrisJ⁠" de Jong and Miikka "⁠suNny⁠" Kemppi were also being considered for the role but ⁠emi⁠ was the best of the three players.

The player was released by c0ntact in October and has been without a team since then though he did fill in the vacant spot in FPX temporarily in November, with their semi-final appearance in DreamHack Masters Winter. He would now be an official member of the team and would make an appearance in closed qualifier for IEM Summer, as well as compete in Flashpoint 3, the first RMR event of the year in Europe.
