G2 defeated FURIA in an elimination series

G2 defeated FURIA in an elimination series, winning 16-8 on Inferno and 16-7 on Mirage to keep their Major hopes alive. In this series, there isn't much to analyse because FURIA was below G2. They didn't appear to be performing at their best on an individual level, and it was evident from the player cams that they had a bad attitude and had no specific game plan in place.

On the other hand, G2 were in top form, especially the fraternal combination of Nikola "⁠NiKo⁠" Kovač and Nemanja "⁠huNter-⁠" Kovač. The European team still has a long way to go before they can qualify for the playoffs, but their easy victory against FURIA will give them hope that at the very least, they are prepared to participate in the forthcoming game-or-die series.
