G2 took the victory over BIG

G2 defeated BIG 2-0 to cap up the second day of the BLAST Premier Spring Groups (Mirage 16-14, Inferno 16-9). In the Group C top final, G2 will go up against the victor of Natus Vincere versus Ninjas in Pyjamas. After finishing the previous year as the winners of the BLAST Premier World Final, G2 continue their winning ways in 2023. The BLAST World Final MVP, Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov, carried up where he left off with 36 kills and a 1.15 rating.

BIG's loss forces them into the Group C Consolidation Final, where they must now win to avoid being eliminated. Karim "Krimbo" Moussa's performance, who had a 1.18 rating across the series and had two critical clutches in the first map, was a bright spot for the German team despite the fact that they only won two rounds on their T-side in the second map.
