G2 tops Group A in IEM Summer by beating Vitality

G2 took down Vitality with a clean sweep of 2-0 on Vertigo and Inferno to skip a Group match and advance to the semi-final of the IEM Summer playoffs. Mathieu "⁠ZywOo⁠" Herbaut and co. would be playing in the knockout stage and take on the winners of Virtus.pro and NIP. Kévin "⁠misutaaa⁠" Rabier kept Vitality in action with his 1.35 series rating but Vitality could not hold off against the  Kovač cousins. 

Vitality put up quite a fight at the start of the series on Vertigo taking a 5-0 lead with plays by Jayson "⁠Kyojin⁠" Nguyen Van and misutaaa. G2 then came back from behind and stole the lead with Nemanja "⁠huNter-⁠" Kovač and Audric "⁠JaCkz⁠" Jug turning the game around with a 16-14 finish. At inferno, it became a one-sided map as Vitality’s offense failed to take off, and G2 won by 16-10, closing out the series early.
