Heroic defeated Vitality in the BLAST Premier Spring Final to win their first major championship since taking home the BLAST Premier Fall Final trophy in November of last year. The Danes performed admirably on Vitality's choice of Vertigo to open the series, winning the map 16-9, but they were unable to win the match in two maps, giving up their own Mirage selection 10-16, necessitating an Inferno decider in which they displayed a masterful T side to win 16-9.

Casper "⁠cadiaN⁠" Møller and company have been praised for being the most reliable top-level squad throughout the year, establishing the current meta and seldom losing in group stages to teams ranked below them. Heroic earned a berth in the BLAST World Final at the end of the year and could be the last significant prize a CS:GO team wins before the game switches to CS2.
