Heroic eliminated Falcons in a 2-0 series

Heroic has had a successful start to their Gamers8 campaign in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia after eliminating Falcons in a 2-0 series. They overcame a sluggish beginning on the European combine's Mirage pick to win in double overtime (22-18) before playing much better on Nuke (16-10). Just over two weeks have passed since Casper "cadiaN" Møller's  team lost to their compatriots from Astralis in the quarterfinals of IEM Cologne, causing them to be eliminated early.

Given the severe single-elimination format at Gamers8, they had to get going right away. Despite their early struggles in the series, they managed to win in two maps despite the No. 104-ranked Falcons doing far better than was anticipated of them. On Friday at 16:30, Heroic will play GamerLegion in the quarterfinals. Falcons got off to a strong start on their Mirage pick, racing ahead to an 8-2 lead.
