Heroic registers their first win at IEM Cologne 

Heroic survived a scare against The Mongolz to advance to the IEM Cologne Group A upper bracket semifinal. The Mongolz forced Heroic to concede defeat in the Mirage their opening map (11-16), and instead Heroic needed a double overtime match on Overpass (22-18) and a trip to Inferno (16-10) to finally secure the series victory. The Danes will now compete against Monte in Cologne's Group A upper bracket semifinal at 23:00 on Sunday in an attempt to secure a berth in the Lanxess Arena.

On the other hand, The Mongolz will be furious with themselves for blowing two opportunities to end the series. The finest of these attempts came from the Asian lineup in round 29 on Overpass, when Sodbayar "Techno" Munkhbold botched his spray, giving the Danes a path back into the best-of-three. Also on Sunday, The Mongolz and the revamped GamerLegion will square off in an effort to survive in Cologne.
