The conclusion of the first of two open qualifiers for IEM Fall South America gave Havan Liberty a victory and a spot in the four-team closed qualifier. The closed qualifier opponents were equipped with RMR points, with Paquetá and Bravos claiming invites and Havan Liberty occupying the final spots. The South American show featured SWS, Imperial, and DETONA as part of the open qualifier with the quadruple overtime match between DETONA and Leviatan, the finalist Argentinian team being the highlight.
The final ticket was guaranteed to Havan Liberty who defeated SWS in a one-sided clash. The final saw the Rodrigo "drg" Ausenka-led team in full control of both maps catering to strong Terrorist sides. The winning squad’s AWPer, Victor "remix" Monteiro led the front against Leviatan, posting an impressive 1.51 rating over the series. The second open qualifier is scheduled on September 11, given 49 teams signed up on ESEA and the final chance for South American teams to qualify for IEM Fall and potentially win RMR points.
