According to a tweet from MIBR, the company has acquired Rafael "saffee" Costa and André "drop" Abreu from FURIA. The change was made after MIBR added the new pair to the active roster, benching Matheus "Tuurtle" Anhaia and Henrique "HEN1" Teles. Now that MIBR has a full five-player team, it will compete for the first time in the IEM Cologne 2023 Play-in, which starts on July 26.
Head coach Bruno "BIT" Fukuda Lima stated of their new additions, "Having drop and saffee on the team was a market opportunity that we couldn't pass up and that in our eyes will meet many needs that the team needs both in-game and outside of the game." Saffee transfers from FURIA to MIBR following a disappointing 2023 for the entire team. The Brazilian powerhouse failed to live up to expectations, which resulted to their disappointing elimination from the BLAST.tv Paris Major Legends Stage where they came in last.
