Monte has announced the benching of AWPer and IGL Volodymyr "Woro2k" Veletniuk, ending a near two-year stint for one of its founding members. This change follows recent additions of Martin "STYKO" Styk and Ali "hAdji" Haïnouss. Although Monte hasn't disclosed Woro2k's replacement, a recent post on X suggests further roster changes are imminent.
Woro2k's next move is uncertain, though he hinted on X about signing with a new team. The 22-year-old sniper and IGL contributed to Monte's modest success in 2022 despite roster instability. The team's fortunes improved in 2023 with the arrivals of Szymon "kRaSnaL" Mrozek, Viktor "sdy" Orudzhev, and Sergey "lmbt" Bezhanov, leading to notable wins in online events and qualification for the BLAST Paris Major Europe RMR. The team's incredible ascent was furthered when they overcame all odds to place eighth at the Paris Major, securing a place in the top 10 worldwide rankings.
