MOUZ defeated BIG 2-0 in the Thunderpick World Championship Europe Series 1 to earn themselves a tidy $20,000 paycheck. They did this by easily defeating the Germans on Mirage (16-7) and then narrowly defeating them on Ancient (19-17). David "frozen" Čerňanský, unsurprisingly, was MOUZ's most reliable player throughout the series, while Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo and Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás. Surprisingly, David "prosus" Hesse, BIG's lowest-rated player after their off-season makeover, provided the team with the toughest opposition.
By reaching the championship game, both teams had already qualified for the Thunderpick World Championship, which will take place from October 27 to November 5 and provide a $500,000 prize fund. MOUZ won an additional $20,000 for their efforts in winning the aforementioned championship match, while BIG was awarded a consoling $5,000.
