After defeating Gambit in a two-map quarter-final series, Natus Vincere will about to rematch Virtus.pro in the IEM New York CIS semi-finals. Gambit and Natus Vincere faced off in the first IEM New York CIS quarter-final match. This happened after the former's group stage performances landed them at the third position of Group A following losses to forZe and Virtus.pro. Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev and company didn't feel uneasy in their first playoff match. Nevertheless, defeating the Gambit squad, Group B's second seed, in a two-map series on Overpass (16-11) and Train (16-12). This quarter's final victory positioned Natus Vincere up against Virtus.pro. This was the same team they lost to in the group stage. They are eager to take revenge in the playoffs.
